Family Portraits Noosa

Family Portraits Noosa

Winter is my absolute favourite time to capture family portraits in Noosa. The weather is often clear and crisp creating an extra stunning backdrop for photographs. Sunset is usually a lot earlier too, so the little ones can be in bed at a reasonable time! I believe great family portraits are about capturing the natural connection between family members in a relaxed and fun setting. If you have little ones, then get read for an outdoor adventure! It’s usually fast paced and full of excitement. Here is a tiny little sneak peek of a recent family session on Noosa Main Beach. {family-portraits-noosa}

Here are some tips to prepare your children for family-portraits-noosa…

Full tummies work best…

It’s a good idea to make sure your children have a snack before your session, not during. Ensuring that their bellies are full, will help them be more settled and ready to play in front of the camera.

Talk to your children about what’s happening…

You don’t need to make a huge deal about it, but it is a good idea to mention the photo shoot from time to time, in the weeks leading up to it. You can start referring to your photographer by name and keep upbeat and positive, telling your children how excited you are about having pictures for your home. You could even read a story that includes a character having their photo taken. My three year old loves “Say Cheese” which is a Charlie and Lola book.

Make sure children’s clothes are comfortable and fit well…

There is nothing more distracting that pants that fall down or dress straps that get in the way of fun and play. Remember, your children will no doubt want to run and around have fun. Make sure their clothes are nice but can withstand actually being active.
